Kiss Nail Dress Review

I received the Kiss Nail Dress product in my Influenster Holiday Voxbox several weeks ago. I've been busy painting my nails with polish I got for Christmas from my sister, so I just got around to using these. The design I received was a limited edition design, and unfortunately I could not find a name for it. I was looking forward to trying these out, and I had nothing else going on tonight, so I sat down and opened the box (see photo below). The kit includes three sheets of the nail dress stickers and a nail file to be used during application.

I went ahead and read the directions, which said to select the size that fit your nail, stick on, then file to the appropriate length. I did so for my first nail, with results I was not too happy with, so I decided to use nail scissors to cut them after doing my thumb. Here is a picture of the first one:

Now, maybe I have weird shaped nails (they are short, I know...its for work) but I could not really make sense of which sticker was supposed to go on which nail. Perhaps some sort of labeling would be useful, as I just stuck them on whatever, but it really would have been helpful to know which stickers were intended for which nails. I didn't get them on totally straight, and the edges are a bit ragged, but I do like the concept of these. Maybe this was not the pattern for a beginner, as the straightness problem and edges are pretty obvious, but I am definitely going to try them again and hopefully get better results. They're SUPER cute and I just love some of the other patterns, so I'll keep you posted. These are supposed to last for ten days. I suspect it will be shorter for me since my career is tough on my nails, but I'll add that info as I come across it.

Here are the rest of my nails and the sticker options for this set:

Influenster Beauty Blogger Voxbox!

So a month or two ago...to my surprise, I was selected for the Beauty Blogger Voxbox from Influenster! For those of you who do not know, Influenster is a website where you can review products and complete challenges to receive badges which qualify you for selection in one of their Voxbox programs. Rather than bore you with the details, I'll provide a link to the Influenster site below and you can try it out for yourself! :)

So part of being selected for a Voxbox is trying out and reviewing the products you receive. I'm going to go ahead and write a short review of the products I've gotten around to trying out! :)

Here's the scoop on the items I got:

NYC New York Color Individual Eyes:
This was by far my favorite and most-used of the items I received. I was surprised by the price for the item based on the value of what I received. The palette I received was a nice gray/silver/black set which was perfect for a daytime eye that can be spiced up a little sexier for night. I loved the fact that the set came with a primer, which really set the shadow and helped give it lasting power over most other sets I buy these days. The highlighter that came with it proved to be pretty useful too, and added a nice pop to my eyes. :)

I have brown eyes and this set really worked for me, but I imagine it would work for other eye colors as well. There are a bunch of different palettes available for purchase on their website, so I'm sure you can find something that works for you. I will definitely be purchasing this item again, and I would highly recommend checking it out. It even comes with a nice little guide for how to use it! :)

Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit:
I haven't gotten around to trying this item out yet...I'm kind of scared of fake lashes after my last experience with them, but I did take these out of the packaging and they felt nice and looked realistic, plus they have a nice applicator which I think will make the whole falsies experience a whole lot nicer!

Bath & Body Works Mini-Candle (Nutmeg & Spice):
Love this scent...absolutely love it! :) Don't have much else to say here, I definitely plan on buying a larger version in this scent, it's a perfect Fall/Winter scent :)

EBOOST:
Haven't tried this one yet. I'm waiting for a day I need it.

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin:
I have tried these out before without a ton of luck (I have really shiny/slippery hair), but it does work really well with my sister's curlier/textured hair, or when I use a lot of hair product to give my hair texture. You can rock a pretty cute messy bun with it, I would recommend these if you have some texture to your hair.

Not Your Mothers Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream:
This was one product that really didn't work for me. I was really excited to try it because ever since I moved back from AZ this summer my hair has had a little flyaway problem. I really loved the smell of the product when I opened it, and it went onto my hair fine, not greasy, and did not flake when it dried. However, it didn't really work to smooth my hair the way I wanted, at least not as well as other smoothing products I currently use. As much as I love the smell, I really cannot recommend it.

I did not receive any of the additional bonus products, I guess my score didn't qualify me. For reviews on those, you'll have to check out the Influenster website! :)

That concludes my first product review on my blog. Hope I didn't bore my whole two subscribers to sleep...please feel free to ask any questions you might have in the comments!
